Method in the Madness - 3 to 5 Year Curriculum

Method in the madness? There are definitely methods to what may look like madness in day-to-day ECE. From the outside it may look like complete chaos, but those within the ‘chaos’ know that tamariki are getting amongst their imaginative, busy, curious and explorative minds while discovering, navigating and learning about themselves, others, places and things. In this workshop we will explore what a 3-5 curriculum can look like in regards to programme planning, Te Whariki, different approaches such as Reggio Emilia, environments, resources, and how having rituals and rhythms can empower and foster tamariki and whanau. If we can provide and implement a high quality programme, tamariki will have opportunities for a positive pathway to school. I think it is important to constantly reflect and revisit what we are doing for our tamariki and whanau, so come and join me and we can collaborate and share knowledge together and discover the opportunities and beauty within a 3-5 curriculum.

Course runs from 9am-3pm.
